We as Kocaeli City, it’s the neighbour of Istanbul are organizing an international children folk dance festival in April 2020. Last year we organized the event with the participation of 46 countries

All the needed information and invitation letter can be found at the attachments of this email.

You should know that the participant kids will be accommodated in host families with his/her same-aged friends.

I just want to explain to you why we accommodate the kids in host families.

The aim of our festival is to create an environment, which the kids exchange their cultures. In this way, they will learn more about other’s cultures. So it will help them to prevent the prejudgement in their future life for the “others”. They will be a friend for one week and their friendship will last forever. Actually we are very successful in this project. Our previous experiences show that friendships of the kids who attended the event 10 years.

You can be sure that the first day of their stay, some kids are crying at hosting families. But after the second day of the festival, the kids are being very good friends. When the departure day comes, all the kids are crying because they don’t want to leave their Turkish friend and family. The moms are being their second moms. All the families want to show famous Turkish hospitality to the world. Last year 46 countries participated in the festival. And all the kids left Turkey with the tears of happiness.

I highly recommend you to convince the parents of your kids and participate in our festival.
